A Message from the Principal
I hope that everyone had a wonderful time last week, with our Halloween festivities, the parents did an outstanding job organizing the event. All of the students from Preschool to 8th grade had a wonderful time. Thanks for making all of this possible for the children. The Faculty appreciated all of the time and efforts that were put in to organize this event.  Thanks again for making Halloween such a special day here at Inca!

I would also like to thank Mrs. Lomasto, Mr. Eckel, Mrs. Oller, Father Joseph and her third grade class for a beautiful mass on Friday, November 1st, they did a spectacular job!

Parents, we are doing something a little different in the process of signing up for parent teacher conferences this year.  Each teacher is putting their times and schedules on a website called: sign up genius. The sign up process will start this week.  Each parent will be available to sign up online and schedule their parent teacher conferences for November 25 and 26. Please look for the information from your homeroom teacher.  The process is very simple and if you have any questions, please ask your homeroom teacher.

We would like to thank everyone who purchased pumpkins from our sale; we earned a profit of $280.00. We will use this to buy seeds, gloves and other items needed for the garden.  Thanks so much for your contribution. The children will put your contributions to good use!

God bless,

Diana Girskis
Principal

Incarnation Sports Family

A heartfelt ‘Thank You’ from the Girls ‘A’ Volleyball team who were named 2013 West Foothill Champions.  Not only were they division champions, they did that with a perfect, undefeated season, 9 wins and 0 losses!!
This team, once again, was well represented into the second round of the CYO playoffs.  Thank you to all the parents, siblings, and players who supported the team all season long.  Thank you to Coach Sanchez who, for two years now, led his team back-to-back undefeated seasons!  A special thanks from Coach Sanchez to the 8th grade girls knowing that their tenacity and excellent work ethic will be a benefit when trying out for high school volleyball.  Congratulations!!

The Girls "B" Volleyball Team had an incredible season! They practiced hard and finished 7-0 for the season. On top of our league games, part of the team participated in an outside tournament, competing against 20 different teams from around Los Angeles. The girls represented incarnation well and took first place in the tournament! They not only earned the school a trophy, but individual medals as well. We are so proud of these girls! Great job this year!  Thanks to Mrs. Mott and Mrs. Sonner for their hard work and dedication to the girl

Incarnation Eagles “A” Flag Football

We are extremely proud of the Incarnation Eagles “A” Flag Football team which finished a wonderful 2013 season with a record of 6-2, 7-3 after play-offs. After a slow start the team grew together, gained strength, confidence and skill as they developed into a unified team. “The support the players offered each other and solid improvements shown on the team were very rewarding to see”, said Coach David Raba. Greg Dumansky also assisted in coaching a number of games. The team included 8th graders; Philip Roque, Jonathan Reyes, Michael Dumansky, Grady Flaherty, Ryan Raba, Sean Hovland, Michael Leon, Angelo Hernandez, Christian Villegas, Patrick Casella, 7th graders; Andy Hovland, Gavin Lundin, Matthew Acosta and Leo Sarkissian.

The Eagles finished in a three way tie for second, qualifying for its first post season appearance in the play-offs in many years. The tie was broken based upon our last 5 dominant wins in a row, larger gap in points scored vs. points allowed and best record against the top 4 teams. This allowed the Eagles to be seeded as the second place team representing the West Foothill Conference in the post season. Our play-off appearance this last weekend was fantastic. In the first round on Saturday we won a great game against OLMM 39-14, our high score for the year. Sunday we lost a tough game against St. Rita 28-15. We battled competitively all the way until the end.

Highlighting the season were epic battles against some our toughest rivals, amazing plays made on offence, defense and special teams. In 10 games, not one point was scored against us during a kick-off or punts return. Solid defense was the key to the Eagles ultimate success, whether it was goal-line stands, interceptions, pass/run defense or sacks. Our offense was great utilizing outside runs, short and long passes by our 6 rotating quarterbacks. Incarnation can feel proud of the young men who displayed determination and sportsmanship throughout the season. Players had lots of fun learning new plays and new skills while playing multiple positions. Every player improved from practice to practice and from game to game.
