Special Announcement from Msgr. Zak

New Principal for Incarnation School

I am pleased to announce that after a thorough review process of prospective candidates for Principal of Incarnation School, and following interviews with those applicants deemed most suitable for the position, Mrs. Diana Girskis has been selected as our new Principal.  Having taught at Incarnation School for the past eleven years, and having served as Vice-Principal for the last four years, Mrs. Girskis needs no introduction.  Apart from her professional qualifications, which include a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the State of California and more than twenty years of experience in education, Mrs. Girskis’ intimate knowledge of our school will help her as she works with teachers, students and parents to further the Incarnation tradition of faith formation and academic excellence in an atmosphere of cooperation, respect and discipline.

I am most grateful to the Search Committee that provided invaluable assistance in the selection process, and I look forward to working with Mrs. Girskis next year as she takes on her new role in our school.  Please join me in welcoming our new principal, and let us all pledge our mutual support to work together for the good of our children, our school and our community!

Family Messenger May 22, 2012

Lord God,
May the prayers we pray today
increase our love for you.
May the work we do each day
be a blessing for others.
Amen.

A Message from the Principal
I would like to express my sincere thanks to all families, faculty, and staff that were able to attend our Mardi Gras Festival on Saturday. It was nice to be able to use our own Community Center and enjoy a lovely evening out. Proceeds from the event will be published as soon as all accounting is completed.
I would like to once again acknowledge and thank our Auction Chairperson, Sharon Conroy, for her time and efforts in planning for this auction.

At our General PTO Meeting last week, the PTO thanked the various chairpersons for volunteering for various school activities. Without parent involvement like this, Incarnation would not be what it is. However, we regret that we did not acknowledge two important committee chairs: Mr. Phil LeFranc as carpool organizer and Mrs. Sandra Lambarri as home messenger chair. These are two very important committees in the life of our school, and we thank them and (their committee members) for the work that they do from the beginning of the year to the end!

This Friday we will celebrate International Day. Please join us at 11:30 for student performances, followed by food tasting and booth visits. The event will last until 1:30. We hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Ms. Olivia Carrillo
Principal

Please check the signature on the back of the frame to make sure it is your child’s work.  If you would still like to purchase your child’s art, please see Mrs. Reiner in the School Office. Each piece is $30. Thanks for your support!

A Message from the Principal
This Saturday is our annual live/silent auction Mardi Gras Festival at the Incarnation Community Center. We look forward to seeing our school families and parishioners at this fundraiser. The proceeds from this event will support continued program improvements for the students as well as the school’s general operating expenses. Your support of this event is critical to justify the time and energy put in to planning! Sharon Conroy has given countless hours to plan a successful event and a fun night out. I thank all who have supported this fundraiser in any way, either by donating items, selling raffle tickets, working on committees, etc. Review your email inbox and look for the list of auction items this year and plan your bids ahead of time! A Message from the Principal
This week we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. This is the perfect time for students and parents to show appreciation to our teachers for the work they do each day. Incarnation is lucky to have such a dedicated faculty and staff.

This is also my opportunity to thank the teachers and staff at Incarnation for their commitment to our students and to Catholic education. They often go unrecognized for the countless hours they put in to their work both in and out of the classroom, and before and after school hours. Thank you, teachers, for all that you do!

Sincerely,
