Family Messenger October 29, 2007

Many thanks to all of you who helped make our International Day for HCA a success! The students worked hard on their performances and research and did an excellent job. We are continuing to raise money for HCA. Thanks also to those who donated candy for the St. Columbkille treat bags. With your donations, members of the Student Council were able to make 264 generously filled bags! They were delivered last Thursday to lots of smiling faces.

Last Sunday Incarnation Church celebrated its 80th anniversary with a special mass and a procession to the new property on Central. Thank you to Mrs. Edilia Cuevas, Mrs. Gwen Rodela, Mrs. Maribeth Spensiero, Mrs. Maria Francia, and all other parents who helped with the decorations for the gym!

Many of you may have seen or heard that last Friday, a helicopter landed on our playground. A construction worker was injured nearby and had to be rushed to the hospital for immediate care. An ambulance brought him to Incarnation where he was then taken to the hospital via helicopter. We are glad to have been able to help Glendale Police and Fire Departments in their efforts, and I thank all parents who responded quickly and cooperatively to clear the way for them.

Have a Blessed Week!

Olivia Carrillo
Principal
