Family Messenger November 23, 2010

Generous and loving God,
Our hearts overflow with gratitude
as we celebrate your unending goodness to us.
May we always remember who has given us everything
we can see or touch or hold, including our lives!
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

A Message from the Principal

Last Friday was our annual Jog-a-Thon fundraiser. Though it was a little cool, we were fortunate to have dry weather perfect for a run! This year we had 29 sponsors totaling $10,500 in business sponsorships alone! Thank you to all for your support for our annual Jog-A-Thon, and congratulations to the 5th grade class who raised the most money ($5,700) and Brynne Richardson (3rd Grade) for getting the highest amount in sponsorships ($1,005)! Proceeds from this fundraiser will support our air conditioning fund; a portion of the profits will also be used toward technology. It is with your continued support that we are able to have a profitable Jog-a-Thon each year. We especially thank our Jog-a-Thon chairperson, Anne Marie Guinane for her commitment to the success of this event. We also express our gratitude to the Armas Family for their donation of cups and water to this event over the years. Remember that students may wear their Jog-a-Thon shirts on P.E. days. pictures from the Jog-a-Thon

Thank you for your generous food donations for the families of St. Columbkille School and Parish. In previous years, St. Columbkille has distributed 100 baskets to families in need, and this year they had about 130 families to assist with donations from Incarnation School. The St. Columbkille community thanks you for your efforts and generosity.

On behalf of the faculty and staff at Incarnation School, we wish you a blessed and happy Thanksgiving holiday.

Sincerely,

Ms. Olivia Carrillo

Family Messenger November 16, 2010

Loving God,
You see the good in every person.
Help us to remember that we
are all your children.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

A Message from the Principal

This Friday, report cards will be distributed to students in grades one through eight. Please take this opportunity to sit down with your child and praise his/her first trimester successes and accomplishments. This is also an excellent time to review areas in which your child can improve upon over the next trimester.

This Friday is also our 26th annual Jog-a-Thon. Students will have lunch from 11:15 – 11:45, and the Jog-a-Thon will begin at noon. Thank you to all who solicited sponsors to make this event successful. I would also like to thank Mrs. Anne Marie Guinane, our Jog-a-Thon chairperson, as well as all of the other parents who have been volunteering behind-the-scenes and will be volunteering on the day of the event.

Next week we dismiss at noon for parent-teacher conferences. ASP will be available from noon until 6:00 p.m. M&F Kitchenette will not serve lunch next week. Therefore, if your child will be in ASP, please send him/her with a lunch from home.

I hope to see you at the Jog-a-Thon!

Almighty God,

and in our communities, will follow your example.
May they serve you and use their power
to create a just and peaceful world.

A Message from the Principal

I am happy to announce that after much anticipation, the gym logo has been completed! The logo will be unveiled at the Stewardship Fair and International Food Festival at the Community Center on Sunday, November 14 between 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. We invite all school families to come see the logo and enjoy the fair and festival. We are grateful to our 2008 auction item bidders for making this logo possible!

As Thanksgiving approaches, we remember to give thanks for our abundant blessings. We also remember those in need and our call to help others. Our 7th grade class will be sponsoring the annual collection of food for our sister school/parish, St. Columbkille. A flyer is enclosed in this week’s envelope with suggested donations for each class, though any non-perishable donation is welcome. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to practice one of Incarnation’s Schoolwide Student Learning Expectations: serving the community according to God’s call as evidenced by local and global outreach. Thank you for your support of this drive.

Have a great week!

In today's home messenger; please see all the limited time additional profits that can be earned. Many of the companies do this just prior to the holidays. It's a perfect time to start thinking about your holiday needs and take advantage of the additional profits. Remember to shop early. Each year we do our best to have everything in stock, but we've yet to totally anticipate everyone's needs.
