God our Father,
Help us to live as your children,
gladly sharing the many gifts you give us with one
another.
Teach us to love others as ourselves,
that we may be one in the Spirit.
Amen.
A Message from the Principal
I am excited
that one week from today we will have an internationally acclaimed expert come
to Incarnation to present Calmer, Easier, and Happier Parenting. Noël
Janis-Norton is a behavior specialist with more than 40 years’ experience
helping parents and teachers.
What sets Noel's
presentation apart from others is the emphasis on teaching parents specific
strategies that you can turn around and use immediately at home and see
positive results. Many parenting experts discuss child behavior and explain it
- Noël Janis-Norton actually shows parents what to do about it - how to improve
cooperation, confidence and motivation and to make all family relationships
more harmonious.
The two hour
seminar is next Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.
We will provide child care so that both parents can attend this excellent
training. Please RSVP to help us plan even if you do not need child care.
As a parent
myself, I know that this is a difficult time of year as most families are tired
of homework, tired of getting up early and ready for summer. Noël's strategies
will help us make it through the next few months and give us life-long skills
to support our students. Every parent who attends will receive service hours. I
encourage every parent and staff member to attend this fantastic event!
Sincerely,
Diana Girskis
Principal

It is with great
excitement that Lauren Muscarella and I announce that we will be helping
organize International Day again this year. Last year, students, teachers, and
parents came together to celebrate a variety of different cultures. This year,
we will continue with the tradition of each class choosing one country to
conduct a unit of study on. Throughout the unit, lessons will be planned in the
classroom that connects to social studies standards. Each class will also
incorporate research skills in producing an informational board that will be on
display for International Day. Finally, the unit will culminate on May 17th
with cultural performances and food from each grade level. Please mark your calendars for
May 17th and come celebrate the diversity that exists
in our world.
Thank you,
Lauren Mott and
