Family Messenger, November 3, 2009

Generous Lord God,
In your great love, you invite all people
to follow your commandments so as
to live with you forever in heaven.
Help us to follow your example
and share what we have with everyone.
Amen.

A Message from the Principal

Our annual Jog-A-Thon is quickly approaching. Congratulations to Gabriela C, grade 8, who won the T-shirt design competition! To make this fundraiser a success, we need your help in soliciting sponsors. Sponsors contributing a minimum of $250 will have their name printed on the Jog-A-Thon shirts. Please note, however, that sponsor forms must be received by tomorrow, November 4 to meet the T-shirt order deadline. Sponsor forms/donations received after November 4 will not be included on this year’s T-shirt.

Enclosed in today’s Home Messenger is an article from the Parent Partnership Handbook by Dr. Pat McCormack. The article is about mentoring your children through mantras. Please take a moment to read the article and consider ways in which your children, regardless of age, can use family mantras to set goals for themselves.

I would like to thank Mrs. Lomasto and the third grade class for leading the All Saints Mass this morning. The students worked hard to research the saints and present information about their lives to the congregation. Thank you for a beautiful Mass!

Have a great week!

Ms. Olivia Carrillo
