Family Messenger, November 8, 2011

Lord God,
When we live in you your peace lives in us.
When we are at peace we are happy, energetic, and hopeful.
Give us your gift of peace.
Amen.

A Message from the Principal

Our annual Jog-a-Thon is next Friday, November 18. This is one of our major fundraisers and we need your help in making this a success. The sponsorship deadline has been extended to tomorrow. If you have anyone out there that is still thinking about it...this is a good time to make that last phone call or visit! Remember that each $250 sponsorship you obtain will fulfill your $150 commitment for one student! Thank you for your support of our school.

Next Friday, all students will receive an official 2011 Jog-a-Thon t-shirt designed by 8th grade students Leonardo D and Michael G. Congratulations to them for submitting the winning design!

Sincerely,

Ms. Olivia Carrillo

Scrip Tip

It's time for the annual yearly bonuses that are given by many of the merchants. Please see the flyer that is in the home messenger that gives the current offerings. Don't miss the chance to earn extra profits on your purchases. Now is a great time to start planning ahead for your Christmas shopping.

Reminder: All orders (including online orders) will not be filled until your check is received. Also, please note, SCRIP Now! orders will only be ordered/released on Tuesdays.

NOTE:
If you need more than 5 of the same gift card please place your order and submit your check by Friday. This will give us time to replenish our stock and not run out of gift cards. Thanks!

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Each year the St. Columbkille parish and school community arranges Thanksgiving food baskets for families in need. We will once again be collecting food to help fill those baskets. Please start bringing in canned goods, cereals, juices, etc. We will have a prayer service to bless the food on Thursday, November 17th. Thank you for your generosity.

From the Business Office

Jog-a-thon invoices will be e-mailed today to all families who have not yet submitted their $150 per child mandatory donation. Please call Mrs. Fenton if you have any questions
