Family Messenger January 17, 2012

Faithful God,
How patiently you guide and care for us.
Give us faith in your word, and hope in your steadfast love,
so that we will never lose heart.
Keep us mindful of your many blessings,
and help us to be a blessing to others.
Amen.

A Message from the Principal

Last week we received quite the surprise in the mail…an anonymous restricted donation for staff and technology in the amount of $25,000! May God bless the donors for their generosity to our school.
We are extremely grateful for this gift!

This Saturday the second graders and religious education students preparing for First Reconciliation will have their First Reconciliation Retreat. This retreat is an opportunity for the children to explore the sacrament and its meaning with a parent or adult. Please keep these students and their families in our prayers during this special time of preparation.

Blessings,

Ms. Olivia Carrillo
Principal

Book Fair news from Mrs. Hihn

Looking for volunteer opportunities? Please help at the book fair! Right after Catholic Schools Week, we will be having our Spring Scholastic Book Fair from February 3-9, 2012. We are planning two special events during that week. On Tuesday morning, we will be hosting Donuts for Dads. On Wednesday morning, we will be hosting Muffins for Moms. The library has volunteer opportunities at the book fair during the hours we are open. We are also looking for parents to provide muffins for our special event. You can earn one service hour for contributing homemade muffins. Attached is a sign-up sheet for helping at the book fair. Please return sheets in your student’s folder. Looking forward to seeing you at our special events, after Mass on Sunday, and during the week!

From the Business Office

Statements will be e-mailed Thursday, January 19. A $25 late fee will be applied to payments received after January 18. Please call Mrs. Fenton if you have any questions. Note: only families with an outstanding balance will receive a statement.

SCRIP Tips

In continuing to move toward paperless SCRIP ordering, attached is a flyer with a list of the on-hand scrip. Please keep it for future reference. The on-hand list is also on the school website: www.incaschool.org. If you would also like to go paperless, just include your order number on your check. Our SCRIP volunteers will take it from there. Thanks again for your support!
