Family Messenger January 31, 2012

Merciful God,
You are compassionate toward all.
Give us faith in your great power,
and teach us to trust in your love for us.
Amen.

A Message from the Principal

Thank you to all who came to visit the campus for our opening night of the Art Exhibit and our Open House. We are grateful to our student tour guides, our school’s marketing committee, and all parent ambassadors/volunteers for their assistance with these events. Thanks also to our students and teachers for really making Incarnation shine! Re-registration begins this week and ends March 2nd. Please look for your packet of information in today’s envelope.

Regarding afternoon pick-up, I am requesting all parents’ cooperation with the traffic congestion on Dryden. To allow students full use of the yard during P.E. classes or other activities, school gates do not open until 15 minutes before dismissal. I know that arriving early gives parents the advantage of being in the front of the carpool line, but this cannot interfere with local residents’ ability to drive, park, or enter buildings. Should you arrive before the gates are open, please drive around the perimeter of the school so that the street is not blocked. Should this continue to be an issue for our neighbors, we will need to request Glendale Police Department’s assistance with enforcement. Again, thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Blessings,

Ms. Olivia Carrillo
Principal

The book fair will also be open on Monday, February 6 through Thursday, February 9 from 8:00 to 3:00 pm. We are planning two special events - one is on Tuesday, February 7 “Donuts for Dads” and our second event is on Wednesday, February 8 “Muffins for Moms.” The book fair will open at 7:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings when we will be serving baked goods and coffee for free. Please come, enjoy some refreshments, and shop. All profits will support the library book budget.

SCRIP Tip

We are looking for a volunteer to take over SCRIP sales on Wednesday mornings from 7:45 to 8:30. Unfortunately, we will not be able to sell SCRIP on Wednesdays if we cannot find someone. We will, still, however, be filling orders sent through the blue SCRIP folders.
